While I love vivid bursts of colour amongst an earthy palette, I’m also drawn to softer tones such as blush and mint. I also loved the idea of incorporating geometic shapes such as the triangle behind one of my favourite creatures to paint- the hare. And from there, this whimsical piece was born.

Anticipating the New Beginning was part of my solo exhibition Fauna, Foliage and Taking Flight at The Art Vault in 2018.

This work is created using ink and pen on Waterford Saunders 638gsm watercolour paper. This is an original artwork by Rhian Elycia McLeod and is professionally framed.
